CIGRE announces a reorganisation of its 2020 signature Paris event into a digital e-session in 2020. Our planned in person August 2020 event offering ’the leading global event for sharing power system expertise’ is now scheduled for August 2021 as a special Centennial Session, with similar format as previous Sessions (e.g., plenaries, tutorials, poster sessions, technical exhibition).

Het coronavirus (COVID-19) houdt iedereen bezig. Ook bij Stichting CIGRE Nederland nemen we dit serieus en wij hebben besloten ons te conformeren aan de richtlijnen van het RIVM.
CIGRE Internationaal volgt de richtlijnen van de WHO en de Franse overheid en raadt bestuursleden, studie comité leden, werkgroepen en adviesgroepen aan het volgende document te lezen: ‘Coronavirus – Guidelines and good practices’

Het deelnemen aan CIGRE activiteiten is natuurlijk een persoonlijke beslissing van onze leden. Wij raden iedereen aan informatie op te vragen bij zijn werkgevers, overheden en gezondheidsinstanties om op het juiste moment weloverwogen beslissingen te nemen.

The health and safety of workshop participants and organizers is our top priority! Taking into account the COVID-19 related health and safety regulations issued by the Dutch government, we have decided to postpone the IEEE PES Benelux/CIGRE SC C2 workshop on WAMS that was scheduled for 18 May 2020.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation. A new date for the workshop, together with a valid registration link, will be communicated as soon as more information about guidelines from the relevant authorities becomes available.

On behalf of Stichting CIGRE Nederland we would like to invite you to the joint CIGRE SC C2 & IEEE Benelux PES workshop on wide area measurement systems (WAMS) on May 18th, TenneT, Arnhem.
The energy transition can only be successful if the power system remains secure, stable, and affordable. Against the backdrop of the digital revolution and the increased installed capacity of power electronic interfaced generation, system operators are working on innovative solutions to keep the power system within its operational boundary conditions. Wide area measurement systems are a key enabler for advanced data acquisition, control and protection. In this workshop the current state-of-the-art in WAMS as well as the innovation challenges for the coming years will be discussed by experts from transmission system operators and universities.

Corona policy
In view of the spread of the new Coronavirus Covid-19, Stichting CIGRE Nederland is following the recommendations of the RIVM. This event is in collaboration with IEEE. They are in charge of the handling of this event.
The decision to attend this event is, of course, a personal decision by our members. All should seek information from their respective employers, governmental and health authorities in order to make informed decisions at the appropriate time.

Beveiliging! Altijd en Overal
De energietransitie stelt andere eisen aan het beveiligen van het elektriciteitsnet. Door de toename van wind- en zonneparken ontstaat er meer fluctuatie in de productie van energie en is de energierichting minder voorspelbaar. Wat is de impact hiervan op onze besturings- en beveiligingssystemen? Op woensdag 30 september staat tijdens de CIGRE B5 Themadag in Woerden, deze vraag centraal.
Uitdagingen
Beveiligen van het elektriciteitsnet vraagt iets van de (netwerk) bedrijven en de technici werkzaam binnen de sector. Zij krijgen te maken met uitdagingen als andere beveiligingsconcepten, vermogensonbalans, lage kortsluitingvermogens, besturen, ontwerpen, installeren en onderhouden. In verschillende workshops behandelen we op interactieve wijze deze uitdagingen:
Kom 30 september kennis brengen en halen, kom netwerken en luisteren naar boeiende sprekers als Marjan Popov van de TU Delft over het MIGRATE project.

Wij verwelkomen graag beveiligingsexperts en assetmanagers werkzaam bij netbeheerders en de energie-intensieve industrie, en professionals uit het vakgebied beveiliging en besturing. Ook young professionals en studenten in deze vakgebieden zijn uiteraard welkom.

Kosten
De kosten voor deelname zijn € 285,- (excl. 21% btw).
Voor studenten is deelname gratis.
Annuleren
Je inschrijving is alleen schriftelijk te annuleren. Bij afmeldingen binnen één week voor aanvang dan zijn we helaas genoodzaakt het volledige inschrijfbedrag te berekenen. Vanzelfsprekend kan bij verhindering altijd een vervanger van jouw inschrijving gebruik maken.

Succesvolle CIGRE B1 Themadag over “The ART of integrated CABLES, Integration of new underground cables in the network”.
Samen met ruim 90 energieprofessionals werd op 4 december bij TenneT TSO, tijdens de CIGRE B1 themadag, flink gediscussieerd over hoe het toekomstige elektriciteitsnet eruit gaat zien om aan de groeiende vraag van energie te voldoen. Samen met sprekers van Alsema, DNV GL, Energy Solutions, Enexis, Prysmian Group, Qirion, Stedin, TATA Steel, TenneT en deelnemers uit de sector werd kennis gedeeld en bespraken zij wat nodig is om de groeiende vraag en andere energiestromen te faciliteren, hoe we onze netstrategie moeten aanpassen en wat de gevolgen zijn voor de nieuw aan te leggen kabelverbindingen.
Geconcludeerd is dat kabels niet meer weg te denken zijn uit de omgeving en hoe sneller acceptatie, hoe sneller voldaan kan worden aan de benodigde versnelde aanleg. Uitdagingen als inpassingen in het net (blindlast, nettechniek, transiënten, stroomdichtheid, piekbelastingen) en in de omgeving (tracering en omgevingsmanagement) zijn herkenbaar en bespreekbaar.
Er is veel aandacht voor ontwerp, testen, beheer, onderhoud van de kabelverbinding en de impact van verschillende typen opwek op het ontwerp. Kortom “Buried but alive”!

CIGRE Studiecomite B1
Met veel plezier kijken wij terug op een geslaagd en waardevol minisymposium “CIGRE in Energy Transition” dat gehouden werd op 27 februari 2019 bij Siemens. Samen spraken we over hoe CIGRE kan verbinden met de vraagstukken rondom het Klimaatakkoord en hoe wij als organisaties en jezelf kennis kunnen inbrengen en impact kunnen maken.
Door de inzichten van sprekers als; Jeroen Overduin, Manon Jansen, Gertjan Lankhorst, Stefan Olsthoorn, Edwin Edelenbos en Thomas Dekker hebben we mooie inzichten gekregen en liggen er interessante ontwikkelingen voor ons als Cigre om ons te ontwikkelen naar een meer agile en verbonden Stichting met meer relevantie en impact in de energietransitie.
We gaan hier elkaar nog vaak aan memoreren in alle initiatieven en acties die wij als CIGRE gaan doen. We hebben een goede boost gekregen en die willen we graag vasthouden.
